As the president of Wm. Deacon Co., Inc. and Managing Partner of Grain Mill, Ltd
since their inceptions, Bill Deacon has been responsible for strategic planning, day-
to-day operations, finance, risk management, and investment decisions (See
Biography for the firm’s history).  Twenty-five years of third party sales and leasing
brokerage transactions have provided Bill Deacon with experience in all aspects of
acquisition, utilization, and disposition of a variety of commercial real estate

Virtually all of Mr. Deacon’s brokerage background has been with commercial
developers and professional investors.  This experience has produced hands-on
involvement in the following areas:

Bill Deacon holds the professional designation of Certified Commercial Investment
Manager (CCIM) and is a member of the North Texas Commercial Association of
Realtors, Texas Association of Realtors, and National Association of Realtors.

While attending Texas Tech University on an athletic scholarship, Mr. Deacon
received a degree in Industrial Management and a minor in Industrial Engineering.  
He earned a Masters in Business Administration from Texas Christian University.  
He was formerly General Manager of Pet & Equine Products for ConAgra, Inc. and
was a member of the corporation’s Strategic Planning Committees for the Agra
Products and Consumer Products Divisions.

He has served on the board of three Texas banks along with the Grapevine Chamber
of Commerce.  Four times he has been elected to vestries of the Episcopal Church
and currently chairs the Adult Education Committee of Saint Andrew’s Church.
